Pricing
Free during the beta. You pay Hetzner for one server.
Belvador charges nothing for events, seats or projects during the beta. Your errors are stored on a node in your own Hetzner Cloud project, and Hetzner bills that server to you at its list price.
The short answer#
Belvador costs nothing during the beta: no price per event, seat or project.
Hetzner bills your node directly. A CX23 lists at €5.99 a month before VAT, which already includes €0.50 for its IPv4 address.
Every beta workspace gets the same limits, listed below from the configuration Belvador enforces.
Prices after the beta are not published yet. Belvador will not bill per event.
What you pay#
| Who bills you | Amount | |
|---|---|---|
| Belvador | — | Nothing during the beta |
| Your node | Hetzner, directly | A CX23 lists at €5.99 a month before VAT, IPv4 address included |
| Alert messages | Your own Telegram, Slack or email provider | Whatever that provider charges you |
There is no card to enter at Belvador. Hetzner asks for a payment method when you open your account, because the server is yours.
| Server | Shared vCPU | RAM | NVMe disk | Price/month (excl. VAT) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CX23 (default) | 2 (Intel/AMD) | 4 GB | 40 GB | €5.99 |
| CAX11 (when CX23 is sold out) | 2 (Ampere ARM) | 4 GB | 40 GB | €6.49 |
| CPX12 | 1 (AMD) | 2 GB | 40 GB | €11.99 |
Hetzner list prices read on Oct 26, 2026, including the IPv4 address every node gets (€0.50/month) and before tax. Hetzner bills you directly, in your Hetzner account's currency; prices and per-location availability change: hetzner.com/cloud.
Belvador picks the CX23 when it creates a node, or the ARM CAX11 when Hetzner has no CX23 left in Falkenstein, Nuremberg or Helsinki. You can change the size later from the Node page; Hetzner bills the new size from then on (update, resize, rebuild).
What the beta includes#
Every beta workspace gets the same limits. These are the numbers the edge and your node enforce, read from the same configuration:
| Beta limit | Value |
|---|---|
| Error retention | 30 days |
| Envelopes per workspace per month | 30,000,000 |
| Trace / log retention | 7 / 7 days |
| Trace / log volume per month | 5 GB / 5 GB |
| Cron/heartbeat monitors per project | 100 |
| Uptime checks | 50, every 60 s at most, 3 regions |
| SLOs | 50 |
| Workspaces per person | 3 |
When a workspace goes over its monthly envelope cap, the edge answers 429 and your SDK drops the event; nothing is billed. Cron monitors, uptime checks and SLOs have no per-item price.
After the beta#
Prices for after the beta are not published yet. Two things will not change: event data stays on your node, and Hetzner keeps billing the server to you. Belvador will not bill per event — the reason to put storage on your own server is that its cost is a disk, not a meter.
What is not included#
No session replay, profiling or AI root-cause analysis. If you need those, Sentry has them (Belvador vs Sentry).
Belvador does not resell Hetzner. You need your own Hetzner account.
One node per workspace. There is no multi-node or high-availability setup yet; while the node is down, the edge holds a sealed copy of new errors for up to 14 days (data protection).
Questions#
Do I pay Belvador anything to try it?#
No. Sign up, connect a Hetzner project and send errors. The only bill is Hetzner's, for the server.
What happens if Hetzner changes its prices?#
You pay Hetzner's current price. The table above shows the date we read it; check hetzner.com for today's.
Can I use a bigger server?#
Yes. Node → Actions → Change machine size offers the sizes with the same CPU architecture. The machine is off for 1–2 minutes and errors sent meanwhile wait at the edge.
How do I stop paying?#
Delete the node from the Node page. Belvador deletes the server and its firewall from your Hetzner project after a 15-minute delay you can undo; Hetzner stops billing it.
Try it on your own Hetzner project
Free during the beta. Hetzner bills the server; Belvador never bills per event.
